i think i said the word 'sian' at least 10 times a day. just running the samples using the same instru over and over and over again. every single day. even my lab friend thinks my project is incredibly slack and simple. and if i cant get any results for such a simple project, im seriously screwed. spent so much time in the lab. still no results? im damn pissed man. but synthesis ppl have it worse. some of them leave lab at midnight. can you believe it? MIDNIGHT?!!??! the latest i stayed til was 9.30pm, and but the time i left lab, i literally crawled to the bus-stop, cos i was sooooo tired. really hate this period of time. anw, these past 2 weeks have been the happiest times in lab so far, minus the no-results part of course. cos prof is not around, we spend the whole day chit-chatting and fb-ing, the postgrads didnt even come to lab. that's this very nice research fellow in my lab. today while i was walking into the lab, he called me to one side and started whispering very softly to me, im like, huh??? i thought he wanted to tell me sth secretive, turns out that he wanted to use the instru next week. oh chey. but anw he's damn nice lar! he laughs like this: hur hur hur!! his china accent is damn cute! plus he's very inqusitive, he's like forever asking me some random questions in the lab. hahaha! anw, i will be damn sad when he leaves the lab next march when his contract is up. and in case anyone is wondering, he is married with kids, and is shorter than me. LOL. oh sian, i got to stop playing fb now. need to study. eyes are closing already. |
